- Are you considering homeschooling and feeling overwhelmed?
- Are you already homeschooling but feeling frustrated?
Then Just breathe… Take a deep breath. Exhale. Sip a cup of coffee. It is going to be alright. Trust me, friend. We have all been where you are right now. As a matter of fact, some of us have been there on multiple occasions and in multiple seasons. I have been there so many times, I stopped counting. It is the nature of the beast. The gift of motherhood is a blessing, but those little miniature versions of you can also be a challenge. If you have also been called to homeschool, then your blessings and challenges have just been kicked up a notch!
Sometimes we need someone who has “been there, done that” to come alongside us and give us permission to stop the crazy train to rest, refresh, and refocus. Sometimes, we need someone to come alongside us and remind us to just breathe.
Learn how to do just that in our new book, Just Breathe (and Take a Sip of Coffee). Learn how to homeschool in step with God by resting in the Lord and simplifying your homeschooling.
Rest in the Lord & Simplify your Homeschool
Learn how to regain your sanity, reclaim your schedule, and reignite your love for homeschooling through two straightforward and manageable principles: (1) The Sabbath Principle and (2) The Simplification Principle.
In Part One, learn how to incorporate a Sabbath rest into your day, your week, your schedule, your lessons, and your year. “There remains, then, a Sabbath rest for the people of God. For whoever enters God’s rest also rests from his own work, just as God did from His. Let us, therefore, make every effort to enter that rest” (Hebrews 4:9-11). We must enter that rest; it is a choice. It is when we truly trust in the Lord that we can rest in His promises. And it is when we truly rest that we can begin to simplify.
In Part Two, tried and true ideas are given on how to simplify your life, your home, your homeschooling, and your calendar. Simple tips are shared on how to:
- create a family mission statement to help you fulfill your purpose as a homeschooling mom
- teach different subjects to multiple grade levels to maximize your time
- organize your day to get the most out of it
- unplug from the internet and plug into community to create lasting friendships
- do less in order to learn more
- provide a true education outside of schoolwork to create a love of learning
- have fun and enjoy your time with family in order to create lasting memories, and
- appreciate and live out your ministry of motherhood and your calling to homeschool.
The book, Just Breathe (and Take a Sip of Coffee), will help you transform your thinking and your homeschooling one step at a time, one day at a time, and one cup of coffee at a time.
Just Breathe paperback and digital version can be purchased on Amazon.com or ordered from any major bookstore.
